i took tons of photos this weekend, it was such a fun weekend. we had a wedding in broadripple, the reception with dolphins at the zoo, a session at Boondock's farm this morning (if you've never been, go -- it's so nice!) and a final session with two sweet little babes this evening. shew! i'll have samples of all later on the blog.
and now i sit and listen to Ray LaMontagne's new album Gossip in the Grain in a moment of quiet before i go get my sweet babes. if you don't have this album, i urge you to get it! you can download it from iTunes for $10, it'll be the best $10 you've spent in a while, i promise. i got to go to his concert at the murat a few weeks ago, and i'm still getting chills. he's an artist that i have liked from the first time i heard his voice, and i like every single song he's written. he's amazing, he's a genius, and his voice is unlike any other. do you ever listen to a song and think 'wow, i can relate...' ? i feel like i can relate to so many of his songs on this album (and past albums) that it's wild ... his songs make my mind wake up and think, and i truly think life is like a huge, gigantic, twisted puzzle : things just seem to work themselves out in strange little ways, don't they? sometimes you have trouble getting that right piece in the right place, but after maneuvering around a bit, it falls right down into it's spot.
ALSO : i made it out to the TLC to Earth fundraiser last night and was given the report of around $15,000 being raised ... how awesome! i love everyone surrounding me to pieces, and love that there are so many good & happy people out in this world still :)
now, go buy ray!

this is a new newborn favorite of mine ........ go to my {captured} galleries on my WEBSITE to view the entire session. there were too many good ones to post on here, so it's a featured gallery. dad was allowed 10 days or so to come home from iraq to see the birth of his son ... wow, i can't even begin to imagine. his little girl had changed so much since he had seen her last, i'm hoping he can look at these pix online and it will hold him over until he returns again.

i know big sister loves her brother. however, she was a little reluctant this day to share him with daddy ... she kept saying 'my daddy!' and a few tears were shed ... :) (please note dad's twinkling eyes!)
time for throwing leaves, watching tractors in the fields, getting pumpkins ... i love it :)
